After having my first son in January 2020, I had to navigate my own c-section rehab. Even though my background boasted over 10 years of fitness and health experience, I felt lost and confused in my new body.
I didn’t know who I was anymore. The original idea for GoMomBodSquad came to me in February 2021 while I was just barely one year postpartum and feeling stuck in my “Mom Bod.” I was determined to figure out WHY I couldn’t feel like “Me” anymore. I developed a passion for learning and helping other women find strength and confidence in their bodies again.
I have a degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science. I’ve been involved in health and fitness in many different avenues, both personal and professional, from Nutrition Consultant, to Personal Training, Fitness Manager of a gym, heading up corporate wellness programs, competed in two fitness shows, dabbled in powerlifting, ran the Boston Marathon, and then the ultimate and never-ending body challenge- I went through pregnancy and became a Mom!
An earth shattering number of women feel lost in new motherhood and never end up gaining confidence back. I became a Certified Prenatal and Postnatal Fitness Specialist and created GoMomBodSquad with the intent of focusing on the strength of a woman’s physical body. Through my own experience, I have learned our physical strength can only go so far in this body if we do not harness our mental strength through action, behaviors, goal setting, habit, and gratitude.
So here I am today, in the thick of the toddler years with two young boys. I'm happy, energetic, light, and free. I want to share my approach to redefining what it means to have a “Mom Bod” so that women can feel empowered in their new season of life.
